Miracle Field Groundbreaking

A ground breaking brings new meaning to athletics in Southern Minnesota. The new Fallenstein Field is named after Al and Erla Fallenstein, well known in the greater Mankato area for their generous support to the community. But this isn't your ordinary field, this one will be handicapped accessible and soon people with disabilities will be using it to play baseball and softball. "It's great, this field is amazing this opportunity for these kids to play baseball is great." The field is being built at Caswell Park and should be finished by next spring. Miracle Field Night at the Mankato Moon Dogs

On July 30th, 2007 the Mankato Moon Dogs held a fundraiser for the Miracle League of North Mankato. Half of all proceeds from pre-sold general admission tickets went to the Miracle League of North Mankato, as well as a $1,000 donation from the Moon Dogs Foundation. A silent auction was held during the first three innings of the game. Overall, approximately $6,500 was raised for the Miracle League of North Mankato ball field.
